Well, not quite actually. The author of this article looked a bit short of arguments and didn't even bother to explain the possible countermeasures. It is still certainly possible for the most paranoid of us to "stay in the shadows" a little while longer, even if nowadays it is getting more and more difficult. Concerning e-mails I recommend autistici and riseup if you can get in. If you are really afraid of providers, try to use disposable mail adresses or Notsharingmyinfo or self destructing messaging services like Privnotes. Best option for the super paranoid might be to use good old nym servers via Quicksilver, however not child's play...
