Reykjavik Savings Bank (SPRON), Rykjavik, Iceland Link: www.spron.is/Address: Ármúla 13a, 108 Rvkjavik, Iceland Phone: +354-550-1200 Fax: +354-550-1301 Swift: LSICISRE Assets: 190 B ISK in 2007 Established 1932 Annual Report link: dev.ecweb.is/ecproof/upload/books/book_99345274-CC74-4C81-BD4D-A23419BBB1E6/generations/g_B54AA7B9-BF93-4E25-B423-D897D470FB8E/Very well organized service minded local retail and corporate as well as commercial bank, deeply routed in the community, technologically very advanced, even lets you screen the signatories of the bank online (for account holders). In good Scandinavian tradition informs openly about the most current stock owners (link: www.spron.is/categoryplainenglish.aspx?catId=1604&subID=1). If you need a local bank which is not to big, has personal service and is professional then this is your choice. However nothing in regards of fancy international transactions, structured financing etc is going on here; they definitely know how but it is not common in this bank. They are however the largest saving bank, 4th largest retail bank in Iceland and Iceland is very competitive in banking. Best Bank in Iceland according to Gallup Iceland Report from 2005.
