Sea Tankers ltd is offering all kind of oil based products in the brokerage world SEA TANKERS AMYR CI JETA1 1M BBLS SIGNED 1.pdf (872.57 KB) then tells the brokers through Stuart Wheatley, Secretary , Sea Tankers Limited all commissions are paid in full, but an NCND has to be filed with the bank and before their bank can accept the NCNDA it must be accredited, notarized and approved. They charge in excess of 30k USD for each person up front for this accreditation, notarization and the approval. which is questionable. Brokerage as commercial activity is in no need of accreditation because if the seller or buyer are engaged with those participants and the contract is performed a brokerage is owed. The conditioning to require a fee for the accreditation, notarization and approval upfront is legally most questionable and used as a tool to push any brokerage out. In some countries it could be considered a case not only for a civil court but for the district attorney as well

Very common nowadays. I see it as a form of advanced fee scam, but frankly no broker will cough up over 30k just to get registered, so in essence it just scams the broker of his commission and since most can not do anything against it but not engage its pretty much business as usual.

ROFL, I know Sea Tankers ltd, playing up big online but a mini company, look at the filing history on the UK company register and it says it all. Brokers all the way, and as far as I know officially no real employees, a micro business file at the corporate register. its a waste of time

The company is owned 75% or more by Geos Group, the companies accounts as far as I see don't show anything 06156747_aa_2023-08-25.pdf (25.64 KB). Geos Group ltd is a real company, see audit 05281091_aa_2023-09-22.pdf (755.51 KB), not very big in regards of income in the oil business

I suspect they are generally a seperate handling outfit for a shipping broker who sees an oportunity and tries to broker oil deals on ships and tries to get his cost covered from brokers, but thats a suspicion. It could also be just a straight scam using a front company and when it comes down to the legals they hde , on the outside with brash behaviour butknowing well no one will complain really
